Jungle Club, Chaweng Noi
Visited the place in November. There were many mosquitos about and each room seemed to have it s very own geeko living in it. We didn t mind as they keep the bugs away. The jungle hutts are excellent value for money if your a backpacker. The views from the place are fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful. We took a waiters mobile and he would drop us off and pick us back up for 100 baht before midnight and 200 baht after midnight at the bars near chawang beach. The macdonalds is the best place to be dropped as central to the bars and an Irish bar behind. The down side is that you need to go up and down to the Jungle club by 4x4 so you need them to transport you as it s a very bumpy drive. One guy did have a moped but it was a difficult task so you would need to be a skilled rider to do this. There wasn t a huge menu choice and the food and drinks were slightly on the expensive side compared to other places near by but it was nice. I would recommend this place to people though as the view is brilliant and the staff friendly. A short visit makes the travel up and down not seem so bad. We stayed about 3 days and wish we had done about 5. They do a free shuttle 10 am with a 6pm return if you want to go to the beach in chaweng. Very quiet on a night and they have old lamps burning. The bar tended to shut early sometimes but probably due to lack of people in the bar.

Fabulously sophisticated for the price. Yummy restaurant with excellent service. Internet is non-existent. Staff is helpful. Had the time of my life.

Terrific quick booking! Booked at 10am online and checked in flawlessly at 12noon.

The place of the hotel is wonderfull though you must be aware of the fact that you are on a hill and that you need the help of the personell to get down. The walk is too far and to steep! There is no refrigerator, no airco, no television etc. Rooms could be cleaned better and you don t get new towels often enough. Personell is friendly.

Very beautiful scenery, the hut accomodations are nice but somewhat open (thatched roof, mosquito nets over the bed and fan, no warm water, no a/c), somewhat difficult to go out at night because the Jungle Club is located on the top of the mountain, but the staff provides a 24 hour car service to get down to the main street.

good.

An amazing place with incredible views, antastic staff and wonderful food. If you want to be away from the hustle bustle this is perfect, only downside is you can only come to and fro by hotel lifts as its up a huge steep hill, so if your in town you have to call up and get picked up so you can;t easily come in and out of town. But it is worth a stay, we came straight from a long flight and used it to chill before exploring.

No probs, dead easy

Probably the best kept secret in Samui. Stunning views from atop the mountain - I mean amazing views looking down over the town and out to sea. The staff are excellent, lots of fun. Beers and food are a bit pricey, but you re paying for the location and view I suppose. Rooms are basic but sufficient. I ve slept on more comfortable mattresses before and wished that the rooms had refrigerators, but the lack of these amenities does contribute to the overall charm of the place. The food is good and the beers are always cold at the bar. Many ex-pats I met living in Samui unanimously agree that the Jungle Club is the best place in Samui. Definitely worth a visit if you can do without the amenities of a 4-star hotel, want killer views and want a relaxed atmosphere to chill out. A locally rented scooter will get you up and down the hill daily without problem. One note: you have to settle your bill in cash! - a big surprise for us (and other guests) who then had to scramble around to ATM s in town hoping we d be able to withdraw that much money in one day to pay the bill. Not sure why they don t emphasise this, but they don t - so make sure you re cashed up at checkout time!

Excellent booking service. No problems with payment or confirmation

The hotel itself was lovely and very unique, but the staff were highly annoying and not pleasent to deal with, they were rude and very intrusive, they overstepped the line between a joke and plain rudeness. We checked out the next day because of the staff, we were supposed to stay for 3 nights.

Very good, although the staff at the hotel had no idea we were coming so they double booked, and then after the mix up they put us in a room with 2 huge lizards for company.

The setting is wonderful, the bungalows clean and really nice to for 600bht. The pool was fab (my daughter loved it) and the music and food was also brilliant watching over Samui. Food a little bit more expensive as you are away from anywhere else but if you are not on a budget, go it well worth it!!!!!!

Quick and no probs at all.
